Frequently Asked Questions

Explore MathCircle: Your go-to resource for engaging math activities, lessons, and community, fostering a love for mathematics in students.

What is the format of the classes?

All our classes are conducted online through Zoom, providing a convenient and interactive learning environment for students no matter where they are located. In addition to live Zoom sessions, student communication and engagement are further facilitated through Google Classroom and interactive Kahoot sessions.

When and how often are the classes conducted?

Our classes are held every other Saturday, making it a bi-weekly commitment that is easy for students to integrate into their schedules. The classes are conducted at one set time: from 2 PM to 4 PM Pacific Standard Time (PST). This consistency allows students and families to plan ahead and make the most of the learning experience.

How long is each class?

Each of our classes is structured to last 2 hours. This duration is designed to provide ample time for instruction, student engagement, and any questions that may arise. For a detailed schedule, including class dates and any exceptions to the regular class length, please consult our calendar on the website.

Will students have homework or assignments?

Yes, students will be given both class work and homework assignments. Our dedicated teachers prepare and publish these assignments prior to each class. To facilitate learning and ensure students are well-prepared for each session, it is required that students print the necessary materials before the class begins.

How much is the fee for the classes?

We are committed to making education accessible to all. As such, we are pleased to announce that all our classes are now completely free of charge. There is no registration or enrollment fee required. Our classes are taught by skilled volunteers who are passionate about teaching and helping students learn.

Is there any fee involved in this program at any stage?

No, there are absolutely no fees involved in participating in our program, from registration through to completion. We are dedicated to providing accessible education, and we have made the commitment to keep our program entirely free of charge for all students. We operate thanks to the generosity and support of our community.

Are donations accepted?

Yes, while our classes are offered free of charge, we warmly welcome and greatly appreciate donations. These generous contributions enable us to sustain and continually improve the quality of our educational programs. Donations help us cover operating costs, enhance our curriculum, and reach more students who can benefit from our services. If you are in a position to contribute, please know that your support will make a significant impact. We provide donation receipts for all contributions, and more information on how to donate can be found on our website.
